Project Twelve: The Master Bedroom Closet

This is my current project so I only have the Before pictures to show!

Project Eleven: Laundry Room

Pictures to come soon....this was a project done while Tony was not home so the pictures are on my phone rather than my camera.

Project Ten: Gift Wrapping Station

Thanks to Martha Stewart, this project was under $20.00 as opposed to $120.00 for a rolling one from The Container Store!

Project Nine: My Office

So after my husband got his "man cave" I decided I wanted a "woman cave" of sorts. I converted the spare bedroom upstairs into my library/office/craft room and it has been my biggest project yet! This was a declutter, purge, cleanse, organize, design, and decorate project!

Project Eight: Bachelorette Party

I had SO much fun planning this party. I wanted to show the before pictures because I was so proud of the setup in the hotel. The chocolate frosting shots are from The Latest Crave in Geneva, IL. I made the marshmallows by dipping them in chocolate and then sprinkles. It was a fantastic Last Fling Before the Ring!

Project Seven: Second Hall Closet

I don't have any before pictures of this one, though I REALLY wish I did. I installed new shelving and this one was literally piled halfway up from the floor with stuff.

Project Six: Garage

The garage was where EVERYTHING went when we first moved in and was a daunting task but it was finally tackled. My husband assisted with this project, as it took ALL day.

Project Five: Front Hallway

Our front hallway remained empty for the first year in the house. Then after a trip to Home Goods and Target, voila! No before pics on this one...

Project Four: Hall Closet

When we moved into the house I didn't care about closets much. Once I organize something it stays that way, period. The problem is cleaning and organizing it in the first place. This is more of a cleanse and purge project than an organizing one.

Project Three: The Kitchen

Our kitchen was nice enough when we moved in but we wanted to give it a facelift without breaking the bank. We changed out the oven and fridge to stainless steel, I sanded and repainted the cabinets in cream, and we had new countertops (solid surface) and a sink installed. New hardware and some decorations finished up the job. I'm still hunting for the perfect backsplash.

Project Two: Bella's Birthday

Our puppy turned one so I threw a party to celebrate!

Wet Nose carries edible birthday cakes for dogs, and Petco has edible birthday cards!

Project One: The Man Cave!

As a Christmas present for my husband this year I created a "Man Cave" in our basement. He needed a space where he could do "manly" things like play video games, eat junk food, play poker, practice the guitar, and surf the web.

Welcome!

My hope for this blog is basically to showcase my work organizing and decorating my own house in hopes that I can do it for other people! It has always been a dream of mine to be an "organizer" of some sort professionally. My family and friends have always said I should do this as a career since I seem to enjoy it so much. I spend most of my free time organizing, re-organizing, and decorating at home and work. If you like my work and are interested in seeing more (I'll only post mostly before and afters on this site) please contact me and I would love to see if I can help you!

Here's what I can do for you:

  • Help you sort items/clutter you can't bring yourself to go through and keep/donate/trash.
  • Organize closets (bedroom, hall, linen, etc..), garages, storage spaces, and attics with the use of bins, shelving units, labels, and color coding.
  • Design, decorate, and organize play areas, man caves, offices, and craft rooms.
  • Help you design rooms of your choice by assisting with color choices, decorations, artwork, and furniture layout.
  • Plan out parties and decorations (from Christmas dinner to a Bachelorette Party to a Doggie Birthday) for your event!
  • Help you stage your home in order to put it on the market.
  • No job is too small! It doesn't matter if you need a mail center, bill pay area, gift wrapping center, family locker system, key valet, or a kitchen message center, I am more than willing to help you!
Please take a look at the pictures I'll be posting. Once the school year begins I am only available on weekends, but during the summer I'm available 7 days a week.
